Lasting Expressions

Visual and performing arts are important at McLean because they’re important to our students.

Painting, sculpture, drama, music — student artistry brightens our décor and our days together. We encourage students in every grade level to tap into the power of the arts as a vehicle for expression. Through their creations and productions, students discover the unique mysteries that live inside each of them. Their enjoyment and achievement build on the solid foundation of a positive self-image.

The creative journey begins in the Lower School with imaginative environments and introductory principles. As students progress, they gain exposure to even more performance opportunities. They leave McLean with a strong appreciation for all art forms and, most importantly, for themselves.
