- A returned direct withdrawal, returned check, or a late payment will result in a charge of $50 to the student's
account. Additionally, an interest charge of 1.5% per month on any late or overdue balance due will be added
to the student's account. Two returned withdrawals/ returned checks requires immediate payment of entire
balance.
For information or questions, please contact the Business Office at 301.299.8277, ext 667.- Annual Plan: Pay annual tuition and fees on or before July 2, 2007. Parents may avoid the Tuition Refund Plan fee by paying 100% by July 1, 2008 and signing the Waiver of Benefit Form.
- Two-payment plan: Pay by direct withdrawal 65% of tuition and 100% of all fees by July 15, 2008 and the remaining 35% of tuition by November 14, 2008. McLean's Administrative Processing Fee of $100 will be charged to your account.
- Ten-payment plan: Pay by direct withdrawal 100% of tuition and fees over 10 months beginning May 15, 2008. McLean's Administrative Processing Fee of $400 will be charged to your account.ALL DIRECT WITHDRAWALS OCCUR ON THE 15TH OF EACH MONTH OR THE NEXT BUSINESS DAY.
ALL TUITION AND FEES BECOME IMMEDIATELY DUE IF ANY PAYMENT IS MISSED.
New students must pay the Non-Refundable Registration Fee accompanied by a signed contract within 10 days of issue..
Returning students must pay the Non-Refundable Enrollment Deposit accompanied by a signed contract by February 28, 2008. The Enrollment Deposit will be credited toward tuition.The school's enrollment contract allows for payment of the tuition in installments as an option. The contractual obligation to pay the tuition and fees for the academic year is not altered or modified by a subsequent absence, withdrawal, or dismissal of the student from the school except as outlined in the Tuition Refund Plan.
The charge for McLean's mandatory Tuition Refund Plan is 1.5% of the full year's tuition and the benefits in
summary, are:A. If the student is withdrawn from the school because of the student's physical disability or illness certified by a qualified physician, (for more than 10 consecutive days), the school will refund 80% of the annual tuition, prorated for the portion of the school year remaining at the time of withdrawal.
B. If the student is voluntarily withdrawn from the school, the school will refund 50% of the annual tuition, prorated for the portion of the school year remaining at the time of withdrawal. A student must be in attendance for at least 14 consecutive calendar days beginning the first day of academic classes in order to be eligible for the credit.
C. If the student is expelled from the school, the school will refund 35% of the annual tuition, prorated for the portion of the school year remaining at the time of withdrawal.
All calculations of benefits hereunder shall be made on the basis of a school year consisting of 170 school days, commencing on the first day of school. To determine the prorated annual tuition for the portion of the school year remaining at the time of withdrawal, the elapsed days since the first day of school shall be subtracted from 170 days. Withdrawal or dismissal shall be deemed to have taken place on the day determined by the Head of School.
