Book-A-Demic (B.A.D.)
Book-A-Demic (B.A.D.) is a reading incentive program for the grades 4 and 4 organized through the library. The program was created to encourage students to read more often and to explore a variety of books, genres, and authors. Over a period of 6 weeks, students try to read as many books as they can from the selection delivered to each grade. After the 6 weeks, class teams play a question-and-answer game where their knowledge of the books and characters can earn points. The winning team from each grade enjoys a “library luncheon,” but every student receives a small prize for participating.
