SYMPOSIUM OF THE GILDED AGE

Upper School hosted its 5th annual Symposium of the Guilded Age. Students in Mr. Neal’s AP American History class portrayed important people of that era. Those scheduled to speak at this year’s get-together were:

  • Mary Baker Eddy, Boston
  • Daniel Burnham, Chicago
  • Herman Webster Mudgett (aka Dr. H.H. Holmes), Chicago
  • Elizabeth Jane Cochran (aka Nellie Bly), New York
