Environmental Science Solar Project

The new “green” Upper School student lounge is being powered, in part, by solar energy. The solar system, designed by Glen Pedersen, was put into place early May in an effort to raise awareness of this alternative energy source, and energy conservation in general, among the Upper School student body. The Environmental Science class, under the direction of Martha Murray and Mr. Pedersen, put the finishing touches on this project which is currently using one solar panel to generate electricity for 3 lights and a stereo in the lounge.
