Mix It Up is a national project supporting student efforts to identify, question and cross social boundaries within their school and community. Mix It Up believes in the power of youth to create and sustain real change, and provide ideas and tools to help break the walls of division.
Lower School students mixed it up at McLean! Students and faculty were divided by birth month and assigned to classrooms. They sat with a new “friend” and completed a Getting to Know You Sheet. Students had a chance to share with each other their favorite color, their hero, etc. They also created drawings of each other, and introduced each other to the larger group.
