Boys 7/8 Soccer
“We are the champions”
The boys 7/8 Soccer Team won the Middle School championship game 3-0 against a very strong St. Anselms team. This gives McLean its first soccer banner that can proudly be displayed in the gym for years to come. The team established the goal at the beginning of the year to win the division as well as the league tournament at the end of the season and accomplished both goals. They had their largest crowd of the year come out to support the team and it gave them the boost that they needed! Bobby B. scored our first goal off of a cross by Sergio C. to give McLean the early lead. The second goal came from a throw in by Max L. to make the score 2-0 heading into half time. Jared K. finished off the scoring, with his first goal of the season, about midway through the second half. Evan E., as always, played a spectacular game in goal to preserve the shutout. Thanks again to all of the staff, family and friends that made it out to see the team play this season. It was a WONDERFUL season and we will look forward to defending our title next year.
