Calendar Outline for 2008-2009

The purpose of this skeleton calendar is to give families advance notice of the first and last days of school and the major vacation periods. It is subject to change. We will not, at this time, list early dismissal or other special closings, but we do expect that families will schedule vacations within the published vacation periods. A detailed, month-by-month calendar will be mailed to you during the summer.

Friday, August 29	Open House, K - 5 and new grade 6, 7 & 8 students and parents
Monday, September 1	Labor Day — No School
Tuesday, September 2	Opening Day Orientation and Classes Dismissal at 3:15
Wednesday, November 26	First day of Thanksgiving Break
Monday, December 1	Last day of Thanksgiving Break
Monday, December 1	Faculty/Staff Professional Day *(new) No School for Students
Tuesday, December 2	Classes Resume
Friday, December 19	Winter Break begins (3:15 dismissal)
Sunday, January 4	Last day of Winter Break
Monday, January 5	Classes Resume
Friday, March 20	Spring Break begins (noon dismissal)
Wednesday, April 1	Last day of Spring Break
Thursday, April 2	Classes Resume
Thursday, June 11	10:00 am Graduation, Grade 12 (Grade 11 — required attendance)
